Why this program?

CIFF are committed to developing the leadership capability of every individual in the organisation. This is not just about line management; we should all be demonstrating great leadership behaviours when working with our peers, less experienced colleagues, and our senior teams as well as direct reports. A coaching skillset incorporates many of the behaviours in the CIFF framework, such as creating a culture of trust, leading with humility and empathy, and supporting diverse views and innovation as a part of embracing change.


We strongly believe that, if all of us take a coaching stance – up, down, across & beyond the foundation – we will empower our talented people to perform better in their roles. And that talent goes beyond CIFF’s employees – our teams can use coaching within the wider CIFF family to unlock the potential of our grantees and create even greater impact with our programmes.

The workshops

This development intervention involves personal feedback, personal and peer coaching, and lots of opportunities to practise. At the centre of the program are four workshop modules that provide the tools, expertise, and creative stimulus to make your coaching and people management productive. These are highly experiential, using a wide range of methods and lots of practice and feedback so that you can build a clear sense of their own personal style.
