Unlocking people’s potential and inspiring greater impact

Whether you want leadership and management solutions, better teams, more effective communications and presentations or a more substantial and sustained culture change, we devise solutions that produce results.

Our promise to you

As a company, we have a higher purpose than just to make a profit or pay the rent! Maynard Leigh exists to promote meaning, humanity and vitality in the workplace.

Our five core values underpin our ethos and culture.

Care

We set high standards for all aspects of our work, and how we behave towards each other and our clients. We approach our activities and our relationships with care and attention. Care involves bringing love and a sense of quality to our activity. We seek excellence in all that we do.

Creativity

We aim to consistently promote a creative approach across our company and in our service to clients. People in Maynard Leigh feel free to question everything we do, and why “we’ve always done it that way”, and to be seeking new or better ways of working. It also means constantly adding value to our clients through being creative in the service we deliver and in our relationships with them. We seek new and innovative solutions to problems. We accept and build on others ideas, with a “Yes, and…” rather than “Yes, but…” approach.

Openness

We are committed in Maynard Leigh to promoting regular and honest communication, both amongst ourselves and to our clients, and in helping them to promote these as well. Everyone in Maynard Leigh endeavours to treat each other, our clients and others with respect. We try to demonstrate this through respectful listening and speaking. Similarly, through our work, we intend to promote good communications and mutual respect within our client organisations.

Vitality

We mean the energy and aliveness that people convey by their actions and words. Vitality shows through enthusiasm, passion, creativity, alertness and a sense of well-being. But it isn’t simply about being upbeat – it’s there in quiet or calm behaviour too. There is an element of spirit integral to who we are and what we do. We aim to bring vitality and spirit to all our encounters with each other and our clients. Similarly, we intend to unlock these qualities in our clients, both through how we model them and through our work.

Integrity

People in Maynard Leigh are honest in their dealings with each other and our clients. This means we always aim to be consistent in saying what we mean and meaning what we say. Everyone in Maynard Leigh stays within the law and would never steal from the company or our clients. We treat information obtained from our clients in confidence, never disclosing it to a third party without our client’s permission. Similarly, we encourage and support our clients in their pursuit of integrity in all that they do.

How we work

The Maynard Leigh Experience refers to the learning processes and exercises we use to enable people to improve their performance. Participants have the opportunity to rehearse new behaviours in a safe learning environment supported by expert coaching.

Perform

We have pioneered a powerful learning technology using theatre-based ideas that create highly engaging experiences, accelerating learning in an action-orientated, stimulating and enjoyable way. Producing behavioural change demands a creative approach that appeals to all aspects of a person’s ability to learn, grow and develop. We call it ‘whole-self learning’.

By developing people’s cognitive, emotional and behavioural skill, you can maximise each person’s effectiveness and improve organisational performance.

We are committed to ensuring that all our development events are relevant, practical and make a difference to the business.

And all our work is backed up by rigorous intellectual research and easy-to-use materials, including several publications. Please visit our publication page here.

  • We only use the very best coaches from our own accredited community of consultants
  • We apply ideas from the theatre combined with psychological insight, recognised organisational change frameworks and business know-how
  • We get people up and doing, rather than being talked at
  • We create an exciting, fast moving learning environment in which people experiment and grow
  • We recognise that people have different learning styles
  • We expect all learning to be closely linked with the business environment
